NRA Firearms Instructor
Do you want to become an NRA Firearms Instructor? It’s truly an honor to be an NRA Firearms Instructor. Instructors are an elite group of individuals who have been specially trained in the use of firearms. Instructors are people who are excellent shooters, who are patient with others, and who love to teach. If this sounds like something you would be interested in we offer a large variety of instructor level courses.
Students often ask, “What do I need to do to become an NRA Concealed Carry Instructor? First, to teach any instructor level course you will need to take the student level course(s) and score a 90% or higher on both the written and shooting exams.
For example, lets say you want to be able to teach the NRA Concealed Carry class, you will need to first complete the NRA Basics of Pistol Shooting course and score a 90% or higher on the written exam and score a “Level 4” on the shooting exam. You will then have to take the NRA Basic Concealed Carry Course and score a 90% or higher on the written exam and a 90% or higher on the shooting exam. Once you have completed that, you will then need to sign up for the “Basic Instructor Training” course and pass that. Once that’s completed, you will then have to take NRA Instructor Pistol Shooting course and pass that with a 90% or higher. Once that is done, you will then need to take the NRA Instructor CCW course and pass that with a 90% or higher. That’s it! After completing your training, you will then need to register with the State of Maryland as an instructor and you can start teaching. It’s an exciting experience and you will absolutely enjoy every minute of your training!!!
