Top Shot Maryland Summer Shooting Camp for Kids
Thank you for your interest in our 2024 Summer Shooting Camp for Kids. Our shooting camp for takes place for five days from July 8th – 12th and again from August 5th – 9th. Students will be taught how to safely shoot handguns, rifles, and shotguns.
There is a strong emphasis on safety throughout the entire summer camp. Students will be taught exactly what to do if they every encounter a firearm. The concept of safety is discussed every single day of the summer camp and there are parts of the curriculum specifically designed to help students develop their safety consciousness while becoming safe young shooters. An instructor will be working one-on-one with every single student whenever they are handling a firearm.
Classes begin at 9:00am and finish at 3:00pm Monday through Friday. Monday and Wednesday will be in the classroom. Tuesday and Thursday will start at the range and then we will return to the classroom after everyone has shot. The first part of Friday will begin in the classroom, and we will finish the day by shooting at the range. Students will receive the NRA Basics of Pistol Shooting Handbook, the NRA Basics of Rifle Shooting Handbook, the NRA Basics of Shotgun Shooting Handbook, the NRA Marksmanship Qualification Program Booklet, and the NRA Gun Safety Rules card.
At the completion of the summer camp students will receive their NRA Basics of Pistol Shooting Certificate, NRA Basic Rifle Shooting Course Certificate, and their NRA Basic Shotgun Shooting Course Certificate.
